Perfumed nose of fig, red roses & a slightly sour apricot jam. There is a deep plum, hue, a mix of purple & ruby, giving an air of royal character. A lovely smooth shiraz, no hint of angrily raised eyebrows as one might find in its kin. There is a lovely soft sweetness to this wine, with a dash of fig, prune & blueberry on the palate. A swirl of apricot & strawberry jam come together in a fruit forward dance, frolicking happily on the tongue. This is characterful without being overbearing. There is a slight kick of pencil shavings as the dance concludes, but this merely serves as a reminder that this shiraz may be delicate but it still has that Worcester wonder!
